July 2010 Ian Scoones ([email protected]) is a Professorial Fellow at the Institute for Development Studies at the University of Sussex and the co-director of the STEPS Centre and joint convenor of the Future Agricultures Consortium. Alec Bishi ([email protected]) is Veterinary Epidemiologist at the Directorate of Veterinary Services, Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Government of the Republic of Namibia. Neo Mapitse ([email protected]) is Principal Veterinary Offi cer at the Department of Veterinary Services, Gabarone, Botswana. Rebone Moerane is Chief Veterinarian, Department of Agriculture, Northern Cape Province, South Africa and President of the South African Veterinary Council. Mary Louise Penrith ([email protected]) is Extraordinary Professor, Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria and Director of TAD Scientifi c in Pretoria. Ronny Sibanda ([email protected]) is a Research and Development Associate with the Institute for Rural Technologies in Bulawayo and was formerly Chief Economist for the Cold Storage Company, Zimbabwe. Gavin Thomson ([email protected]) is a virologist and a director of TAD Scientifi c in Pretoria.
